The most famous Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), Spirtle, rescued from a beaching but in the time before she was spotted and rescued, she was severely sunburnt and everyone feared for her survival. With great care by all involved she recovered and now has markings to remind everyone of her ordeal. Happy news I saw her in 2024 with a calf.
